In September 2021, the cask was opened, releasing an outturn of 419 bottles of this classically coastal Islay.
Douglas Laing’s Provenance Single Malts are bottled exactly as the distiller intended – without colouring and without chill filtration, so that the naturally present oils, fats and enzymes in the Whisky are allowed to make their own special contribution to the nose, mouthfeel, palate and finish. This particular expression from the Glenrothes Distillery has spent 10 years maturing in a Refill Hogshead.

That's wonderful.

In February 2019, Douglas Laing decided it was time to bottle the whisky at 12 years old, bottling it up at 46% ABV for the Provenance series.
