Here we have the 2019 release of the Distillers Edition from the Dalwhinnie Distillery! The Highland single malt was distilled in 2004 and went through a double maturation in Oloroso sherry casks, before bottling in 2019 in a limited release.

An intriguing expression from Dewar's – this classic 8 year old blended Scotch is finished in Ilegal Mezcal casks! The two spirits collide in a beautifully eccentric fashion combining sweet malty flavour with warming smoky pepper.

The Dewar's team has got its hands on some Mizunara casks for this excellent expression! Japanese Smooth is an eight year old blended Scotch whisky which has been finished in casks made from Mizunara oak from Japan, imparting some elegant, aromatic notes to the dram. More than suitable for enjoying neat, in a cocktail, or in a Highball.

A splendid blended Scotch whisky from Dewar's, matured for eight years and finished in Port casks. Expect helpings of jammy forest fruit, honeyed stone fruit, and complex layers of spice here. Try it with soda, ice, and a slice of orange for a refreshing longer serve.

Dewar's early innovations was the practice of marrying whiskies, by region of origin, for six months or more before blending them into the final expression and aging it for another six months or so. The process, developed by A J Cameron, Dewar’s first master blender, was described as “double aging,” and was credited by the company with making its whisky particularly smooth and giving it a consistent “it never varies” character.
The company has now announced a new four-stage aging process, termed a “double double.” It was developed by its current master blender, Stephanie Macleod and is designed to further enhance the brand’s legendary smoothness. The four-step process begins with the conventional aging of malt and grain whiskies in separate oak casks. The grain whiskies are then blended together and allowed to marry while they are being aged for a second time in neutral (or exhausted) oak casks. The malt whiskies undergo an identical process.
In the third step, the grain and malt whiskies are mixed together into the final blend and then aged again for a third time in neutral oak casks. They typical aging during the second and third steps is usually for six months, although the final decision is left to the discretion of the master blender. Following the third stage, the blended whisky undergoes a fourth and final finishing in sherry casks for up to a year. The process creates an exceptionally smooth and complex whisky.
Recently Dewar’s announced the release of the first three whiskies in its new Double Double series. The range features a 21 YO, 27 YO and a 32 YO blended whisky, which has been finished in a variety of sherry casks. The whisky is non-chill filtered and no artificial coloring has been used. The series is only available, for now, at travel retail outlets and are packaged in 500 ml bottles.

A great beginner's whisky right here from the Glen Grant Distillery, produced in tall pot stills. This 10 year old Speyside single malt, having spent a decade in bourbon casks, boasts oodles of light, malty notes. A top dram for warmer weather.

Originally released for the American market, Glen grant 15 Year Old Batch Strength has made its way to our shores and our shelves here at MoM Towers! After slumbering for 15 years, this expression is bottled up at 50% ABV, helping to bolster the vibrant fruit and vanilla-rich oak that runs through Glen Grant's single malt.

This light spirit benefits from at least 18 years of maturation in hand selected casks, giving the fruity and nutty malt extra layers of caramel, raisins and oaky vanilla, with baking spices. A marvellous and complex dram that has a great lingering finish.

A 2015 release from Glen Scotia's new (redesigned) range, Victoriana is made with whisky drawn from casks specially selected by their master blender, finished in heavily charred oak casks and bottled at 51.5% ABV.
