Macallan Edition No.1-6 Collection
It may be hard to imagine today, but for much of the 20th century, Macallan was primarily a constituent malt in blends. It was not until the 1980s downturn in the market that the distillery decided to focus on its single malt brand. Fortuitously, this coincided with the crest of a wave of enthusiasm for the high quality releases that the distillery had licensed to Campbell, Hope & King and Gordon & MacPhail in the 1960s and 1970s. These remain some of the most collectible on the market. While global single malt sales volume is still lead by Speyside neighbours, Glenfiddich and Glenlivet, Macallan is easily the most sought after. So much so in fact, that they had to open a brand new distillery in 2018, a subterranean architectural masterpiece within the Easter Elchies estate, boasting 36 copper pot stills.

Another stellar addition to the Double Cask range from Macallan, it's a 15 Year Old expression! The single malt spent its years in a combination of American and European oak, both of which were seasoned with Oloroso sherry. What did you expect from Macallan? A wonderful balance of creamy sweetness and fiery spice to be found in this one.

An exciting new age statement single malt Scotch whisky from Macallan that's matured in a combination of American and European Sherry oak for a minimum of 12 years. Here, the proportion of American oak ex-Sherry casks is higher than in the 12 Year Old Sherry Oak, but no ex-bourbon casks are used as they are in the 12 Year Old Fine Oak release.

Brugal Añejo is matured in carefully selected American oak casks that are medium toasted to provide a smooth taste, with beautifully light aromas of wood. Our Añejo rum is dry in an overall sense and buttery in the mouth with a slight hint of caramel and tannin.

A regal release from Royal Brackla, this fabulous Highlander was matured for 21 years and finished in a combination of Oloroso, Palo Cortado, and Pedro Ximénez casks! This trio of casks achieves an indulgently sherried, delightfully sweet dram, a real treat for any sherry fiends out there!

It has been matured within fine Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, from Andalucia in Spain, and port casks, from the Douro Valley in Portugal, as was imported and served in the houses of Scotland’s gentry at turn of the 19th century. The Spanish sherry casks bring out the rich house character of The GlenDronach while the port casks add the complex layers of bramble fruitiness that pay homage to the distillery’s home. In many ways it is the expression that our founder Allardice would have enjoyed in Glen House in years gone by.

This right here is a 25 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Talisker distillery. Housing a single malt Scotch whisky that was predominantly matured in American oak hogsheads with some European oak refill. Truly spectacular stuff from the beautiful island of Skye.

‘The Flames of the Phoenix' is an appropriate theme for the 2022 Special Release bottling of Lagavulin, as it was designed to be the most phenolic Lagavulin yet. Fans of the distillery will know that means a truly peaty customer, with lots of spice and power amplified by the virgin oak casks this heavily peated Lagavulin was aged in, alongside American oak refill casks.

This tremendous Talisker joins Diageo's 2022 Special Release lineup following 11 years of maturing in first-fill ex-bourbon casks. Deliciously sweet and fruit-forward, with all the classic layers of pepper and coastal bonfire, this lightly peated offering fits right into the collection. The label features a rather mesmerizing luminescent jellyfish, bringing some light to the dark depths of the ocean.

The second addition to The Original Stories series from The Glenlivet! This expression follows The Glenlivet 12 Year Old - Illicit Still, and celebrates the next chapter in the history of the distillery's founder George Smith. After years of illicit distilling, Smith became one of the first to gain a license to legally distill Scotch following the passing of the 1823 Excise Act. Matured for 12 years in a combination of American and European oak, we reckon he'd be rather proud of this splendid Speysider.

The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old forms part of our Sherry Oak range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. A full bodied palate of mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours is complimented by a light mahogany natural colour.

Samuel Gelston's Single Malt, a non age statement Single Malt, matured in ex-bourbon casks, is a versatile premium whiskey. With a savoury spice note coming to the fore, this expression is perfect served neat, or adding a unique character to your favourite whiskey cocktail or Irish Coffee.
